Colour

Diamond colour is a crucial factor in pricing. Colourless diamonds being among the most expensive but fancy coloured diamonds commanding the highest prices. The GIA colour scale provides a standardised way to assess and compare diamond colours.

When buying a diamond consider your budget an personal colour preference and beautiful diamonds are available across all of the colour spectrum.

Clarity

There are different levels of clarity when grading. Clarity affects how clean the stone looks. Clarity depends on the amount and type of inclusions a stone may have. Some inclusions tell the story of where the stone originated from, country and region etc.

Eye-Clean - Many people prioritise this level of clarity. Inclusions are not visible by the naked eye. Inclusions are graded on an inclusion scale. Where a stone ends up on this scale is determined by the number and type of inclusions a stone has. Higher grades have higher prices.

There is a diamond for every budget.

Carat

Diamond carat is a unit of weight not size. It is used to measure a diamonds mass. One carat or CT is equal to 200milligrams or 0.2grams. It is important to understand that carat measures weights while other factors like cut, colour and clarity affects the diamonds size and overall appearence. Larger diamonds generally weigh more carats but a poorly cut larger diamond might appear smaller and less brilliant than a smaller well-cut diamond.
